Important Audition Information
|
- All undergraduate students applying for any of the degrees in music must pass an audition on their instrument or voice. For a list of suggested repertoire on all instruments and voice please visit www.music.gsu.edu/undergradauditionrequirements.aspx. Please note that this is suggested repertoire.
- Approximately three weeks before your audition date you will be sent an e-mail asking you to confirm your intent to audition. You MUST RSVP by following the instructions included in this email in order to be scheduled on the specific audition day. If you do not RSVP, you will not be able to audition, even if you show up that day. If you have e-mail spam filters please set them to allow group e-mails from the following e-mail addresses: musdjs@langate.gsu.edu, musrja@langate.gsu.edu.
- On audition day in addition to your performing audition, you will take a theory placement exam which is used only for placement purposes and is not a factor in admission. Also, those with some piano skills may wish to take the optional piano placement exam which can allow technically proficient musicians to pass out of some or all of the required undergraduate piano sequence.
