Locker assignments will be available through Charlene Roberts and practice room keys through Ms. Penelope Williams - 5th floor of the Haas Howell Building. The locker fee is $20 per year.

To obtain a practice room key, you will need to make a deposit of $25. DO NOT GO TO BOOKSTORE AS MENTIONED IN PREVIOUS YEARS. SIMPLY BRING CHECK/CASH to Penelope Williams or Julinda Norton, who will issue a key card. Take your deposit to the university bookstore on Courtland St. and ask for Arts and Sciences Lab Cards. Bring the cards to Penelope Williams or Julinda Norton, who will issue a key card. Take your key card to the key control office (University Police Office on Edgewood Ave.) to receive your key. Please note the School of Music policy regarding practice room sign-up .

Certain music technology courses taught in the Center for Audio Recording Arts (CARA) require a laboratory fee. The fee is $75, payable the first two weeks of the semester to Allen Barrett, Penelope Williams, or Charlene Roberts. Relevant course syllabi include information on how to pay the fee and receive your receipt.

Instrument rental fees have been instituted for techniques and methods classes. A maintenance fee of $25.00 is required when students take each of the following classes: Mus 3230, 3240, 3250, 3260, 3270, 3271, 3350, and 3360. Fees may be paid in the School of Music media center during the first 5 days of the semester – exact change or money orders only. The fee is per course, not per instrument. Borrowed instruments are to be returned prior to the last day of finals. Loss or damage beyond reasonable wear is the responsibility of the student. Failure to return the instrument or pay for damages will result in a failing grade for the course and/or a financial hold on the student’s account.
