Part Two:"Slow Lip Slurs"

What's most important here is to strive for smooth, flowing CURVES of sound. Don't try to "slot" these notes, but rather glide from one note to the next. Have an image of gently rolling hills........Keep these soft, unforced, and RICH with sound. Speed is NOT an issue. In fact, I suggest keeping them nice and slow (m.m.=76 or less for the Quarter Note). Your tongue position will cause the note to change, not your embouchure. Practice saying these syllables out loud: "OH-AH-EE-AH-OH". This is exactly the motion your tongue will make on 3-note slurs. Obviously, you won't be saying the syllables out loud through your horn.
