Part Three: "Articulation/Tonguing"
Back to the Routine Index
I have developed a very useful system for keeping
your articulations in "performance-ready" condition.
This system of Numbered Tonguing will enable you to meet any musical
demand at any time. Before doing Part Three of the Routine, please
review:

Once you've become familiar with the
Numbered Tonguing System, try applying it to these exercises.
You'll want to vary the speed of these.
Rossini's Wiiliam Tell Overture and La
Gazza Ladra will demand a precise
#7 or #8 tongue, while Berlioz'
March from The Damnation of Faust will call for a pure #5
style of tonguing, or perhaps a #6.
