In the exercises below, I have shown the SOUNDING pitch for each instrument. Next to each example, write in the WRITTEN pitch (in other words, write the pitch that the player would see on the page!).

 

 

 

 

 

In the next series of exercises, the WRITTEN pitch is shown. In other words, this is what the player sees on the page. Next to each example, write the pitch that actually comes out the bell (i.e. the “sounding” pitch).
