SPECIALIST IN EDUCATION DEGREE

Music Education <.PDF> This degree program prepares music teachers in schools for advanced levels of research-based practice. Emphasis is on broad foundations of music education and specific development of focused teaching knowledge and skill. Thirty graduate hours beyond the master's are required. Applicants must submit GRE or MAT scores and must have demonstrated experience as excellent teachers in school music programs. The degree is offered by the College of Education in cooperation with the School of Music.
