Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport bears the proud distinction of being "the world's busiest passenger airport." The Airport has long been known as a major connecting hub serving numerous destinations around the globe. However, its vitality of growth is no longer merely a product of its role as a prime-interlining hub. Each year, an increasing number of air travelers start or finish their journeys in the Southeast region of the United States.

Located just 10 miles south of downtown Atlanta, Hartsfield-Jackson Airport is accessible via local Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) trains and buses, downtown and suburban shuttles and interstate highways.

If you are flying into Atlanta, we highly recommend taking the MARTA train directly to the Georgia State University School of Music. From the airport, remain on the Northbound train and exit at the Peachtree Center Station. From the Peachtree Center Station, take the Ellis Street exit. You will exit near the Atlanta Public Library and be only a block away from the GSU Rialto Center for the Arts. The conference hotel, the Westin Peachtree Plaza, is only a few blocks away as are all other recommended hotel options for the conference.

We will include ample maps and directions in the conference booklet to help you navigate the different performance spaces at the conference.

HOTEL INFORMATION

The main hotel for the conference will be the Westin Peachtree Plaza. This is one of the premiere hotels in the city and we're getting a great rate for of $149/night (regular rate is $229). We encourage as many participants as possible to stay at this hotel as it boasts a host of amenities (including a fabulous lounge) that we hope you all will enjoy.
