The ATLANTA National Conference
February 20-23, 2008
The 2008 SCI National Conference, to be held in Atlanta, GA will be hosted by the Georgia State University School of Music.
Atlanta is a vibrant city, full of history, commerce, art and a surprising wealth of contemporary music! Home to the world-renowned Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and its forward looking Music Director, Robert Spano, Atlanta is also home to several professional new music ensembles such as Bent Frequency and Sonic Generator, as well as the neoPhonia New Music Ensemble in residence at Georgia State University among others. For these reasons (and many more) Atlanta is a great location for a conference! We hope you can join us for stimulating performances and presentations by composers, scholars and performers from around the nation. We've also scheduled plenty of social events/receptions for catching up with your colleagues and cooling down after a full day of extraordinary music and discussions!
